Mission Statement

To seek out and award motivated Lapeer High School students toward a career in Education or Health Care.

The Jean and Stewart Thiemkey Scholarship Foundation awards two scholarships each year to a L.H.S. Senior
The Education Scholarship will be $5,000 awarded over four years:
- Each year, the student will receive $1,250
The Health/Human Services Scholarship will be $2,500 awarded over four years:
- $1,000 the first year, followed by $500 yearly for the next 3 years
The recipients must be highly motivated to pursue a career in Education or Health/Human Services
The successful applicants are presented with their first check on the evening of “Awards Night” at L.H.S.
The recipients will receive another check every year for a total of four years — as long as they pursue
an Education or Health/Human Services major; and remain in good academic standing at their college or university
Over the last fifteen years, the JST Scholarship Foundation has awarded $36,700 in scholarships
